HOW MUCH CAN I FIT IN A BIN?
Various items may be challenging to lift over the top of a bin, this is why we always suggest opening the bin doors and walking in your garbage. Start with the bigger items and fill in the gaps later with the smaller pieces. For safety reasons we ask that items do not stick out over the top of the bin.
WHAT HAPPENS IF A BIN IS TOO FULL?
We cannot legally transport a bin that has been over loaded. It is very unsafe and could cause injury to the public and our drivers. You will be required to remove items sticking out over the top of the bin prior to removal from your premises.
WHAT IF MATERIAL FALLS OUT AS THE BIN IS BEING LIFTED?
This only happens when the bin is overloaded. We are not responsible for waste that falls out of the bin, please ensure you do not over load the container, rather order a bin that is best suited to your needs.
HOW MUCH WILL I BE BILLED?
Assuming you’ve followed the outlined terms, your invoice will be the same as our advertised price plus applicable taxes. When ordering online your credit card will be billed immediately and any balance, if any, will be collected by our office upon completion of the ordered. When placing orders via telephone we take deposits and once the bin has been weighed and dumped we refund your card accordingly.
HOW MUCH SPACE DO I NEED?
Please refer to the bin sizes listed above and ensure there is at least double that space. Remember to ensure there are no low hanging wires in the area for the bin to be dropped.
HOW LONG DO I GET THE BIN?
We include a 10-day rental with all of our bin orders and automatically pick up the bin at the end of the rental period. Should you require the bin for an extended amount of time please let us know. The fee is $13.99 per day.
CAN THE BIN GO ON MY LAWN?
YES! We can place the bin on your lawn, but remember full bins can weigh in excess of 10 metric tonnes. That’s a lot of weight, please ensure you use plywood to prevent the bin from sinking into your lawn.
CAN WE THROW OUT TREES & SHRUBS?
YES! Trees & Shrubs are considered mixed waste and can be thrown into any size bin.
CAN I FILL A 40 YARD BIN WITH DIRT?
NO! Clean fill material such as dirt, brick, concrete, stone, and asphalt are very heavy and can only be placed into a 14 yard bin. Please do not fill larger bins with these materials because we legally cannot transport that amount of weight.
CAN THE BIN BE PLACED ON THE STREET?
Unfortunately No. We cannot place the bin on the street unless these is a valid permit issued by your municipality and it is received by our dispatch office prior to delivery. We suggest you contact your municipality for clarification, for the City of Toronto we have a link on our home page.
HOW DO I CANCEL MY ORDER?
A simple phone call to our dispatch office at 416-688-4747 or an email to firstname.lastname@example.org will allow you to cancel your order. Please note cancellation fees apply for orders cancelled with out 24 hour notice.
DO I NEED TO BE HOME FOR DELIVERY?
No you don’t. We will deliver the bin on the day you’ve requested it, however we do ask that you leave specific instructions when placing your order and ensure your driveway is clear to allow the driver to safely deliver the bin.
For example: indicate, when facing the home, which side of the driveway you would like the bin.
HOW DO I RECEIVE A REFUND AND INVOICE?
Once your order has been placed online you will receive notification via email. Invoicing is completed after the bin has been picked up and weighed. Please allow for a minimum of 10 business days for us to process the final invoice. If you’ve ordered a bin via telephone please allow 10 days for refunds to appear on your credit card. If you have question or concerns please contact our office. You will receive a final copy of your invoice in the mail.
Are used to describe the cost of a container including service and weight fees. Most often we offer flat rates for clean fill materials like dirt, asphalt, interlock, brick, and concrete.
Is used to describe our service. It can also be called a “lift fee” or “tilt fee” by some of our competitors but in essence it is the cost to send a truck to deliver and pick up the bin. Usually this will also include a rental period for the container.
Once the container is loaded and you’ve remembered to contact us, we will pick it up and proceed directly to a transfer station. The waste is weighed and dumped. The weight of the truck going into the transfer station is compared to the weight coming out. This is how we calculate your total.
Once our truck has been dispatched and is on route to you, it is monitored through our G.P.S systems. Head office oversees the routes and vehicle speeds to ensure public safety. We operate on a strict schedule and cannot wait more than 15 minutes to drop a bin once we arrive at your property. If you need us to wait please contact the office to discuss hourly billing.
This is a term used to advise dispatch that your bin is full and you need an empty one put in its place.
This is a term used to advise dispatch that your bin is ready for removal and you do not require another bin.
Once the container is delivered to your specified location it will remain there until we are contacted to either exchange or pick up. A relocate is called in when the bin needs to be moved to a different area of the property, not a different address.
This term is used when clean fill materials are mixed with each other or with waste.
This could be an item on your invoice and it fluctuates according to the price of diesel and other fuels used to operate our fleet. The amount charged on your invoice is not directly associated with your account, rather based on the overall fuel costs.
ENVIRONMENTAL FEES We do not charge environmental fees!
Some competitors charge environmental fees that can range between 3% to 20%.
ADMINISTRATIVE FEES We do not charge administrative fees!
Some competitors charge administrative fees in the range of $5 to $20 per invoice.
CONTAINER MAINTENANCE FEES We do not charge container maintenance fees!
Some competitors charge monthly fees to their customers to cover costs for switching containers.
